Our mission

Built for the firms that build other businesses.

ModlOS gives fractional CFOs and bookkeeping firm owners one platform for reporting, modeling, client engagement, and operations — built for the way advisory firms work.

Why this exists

The work outgrew the tooling.

Fractional CFOs and bookkeeping firms have become critical infrastructure for the small and mid-sized businesses they serve. They own the numbers, run the cadence, and sit in the room when the hard decisions get made.

The tooling those firms work with hasn't kept pace. Accounting software, modeling spreadsheets, reporting tools, meeting software, and client portals all live in separate places — each built for a different job, none built for the way an advisory firm actually runs an engagement.

ModlOS exists to consolidate that work into one platform built for the advisory firm workflow — not stitched together from tools designed for someone else's use case.

Who this is for

Who we built ModlOS for.

ModlOS is built for a specific kind of firm: the ones whose product is financial clarity and operational discipline for other businesses. Specificity is the point — the platform is shaped around how these firms work, not generalized until it fits no one.

Fractional CFOs

Advisors serving multiple client companies who need reporting, modeling, and engagement infrastructure that scales across a portfolio.

Bookkeeping firm owners

Firms growing into advisory services that want to deliver CFO-level reporting without assembling a stack of disconnected tools.

Accounting firms

Practices expanding their reporting and client-engagement offerings beyond compliance work.

Solo CFOs

Independent operators who need professional infrastructure without enterprise overhead or enterprise pricing.

What we won't do

Positioning, stated plainly.

ModlOS is not general-purpose accounting software. That work belongs to QuickBooks and Xero — ModlOS connects to them rather than competing with them, so the books stay where they already live.

ModlOS is not a generic business intelligence tool. The platform is built for advisory firm workflows specifically; it is not a blank canvas you configure from scratch for an unrelated use case.

ModlOS is not trying to replace professional judgment. It gives advisors better tools to apply their judgment — the analysis, the cadence, and the client surface — and leaves the call to the person the client is paying for it.

One platform for the work you actually do.
